I'd driven by this flooded field many times in my forays up the rivers,. Each time, I always meant to stop but never did. One early morning I drove by and then hit the brake--the time is now. Not later today, not tomorrow, not next week and not next year. I turned my car around, parked on the bank of a field, threw on my hiking boots, and made my way into the soupy grass to take this image of the flooded field. Since that time, I have made a decided effort to stop and appreciate those special images that Nature provides--and how fragile and random they are.
